Braydmedia is my personal project – a collection of services I self-host as a hobby. This includes this blog, but also my Mastodon (glitch-soc) instance and my Bluesky PDS server for social networking.
On this blog, you’ll find posts mostly from me, though occasionally there might be contributions from co-authors. The topics will mainly revolve around technology, IT, veganism, politics, and sometimes personal updates, like when I go on vacation or other life experiences.
I speak German, English, and some Norwegian. However, I’ll publish all posts here in English since it’s the most widely understood of the three languages I know.
Online, I go by the name Brayd, which is why my blog and services are called Braydmedia. I work in IT and spend much of my free time doing sports like Shaolin Kung Fu, MMA, weightlifting, running, and more. I’m also passionate about photography, although my only equipment at the moment is my phone. I’ve been vegan since 2019 and practice Buddhism, so you can expect posts related to those topics too! 🌱
While many people use social media to share their thoughts, I prefer to do so on my own platform – one that doesn’t depend on corporate control.
